Then I got the net and rescued him and put him outside. We find these frogs all the time, but they usually drown as they really have no way to get out of the pool. I support installation of a little ramp for them to get out but did not get much support from the rest of the family, I think they know that my next step would be little frog houses, with curtains in the windows.
Meanwhile, I just try to rescue them when I find them alive.
They really do seem grateful, with wide smile on their little faces and a goodbye croak.

Awwwww good for you for saving his life. My frogs are all asleep under the pond water. Soon they will become little froggy ice cubes until spring. :)Bea
ReplyDeleteLucky little froggy that you came along. I would seem easy to convert a toad house into a frog house. HAW.
ReplyDeleteI loved this post. So cute that your hubbie helped you find an animal for Animal Wednesday and that you saved the little guy.
ReplyDeleteI like your frog better than the real one.

ReplyDeleteyay Mim!! You can usually find them in the drain thingy above the ground. Lift the lid each day and there's usually one or two waiting to be freed!

Good frog drawing! I'm glad you saved the little critter. He must have been tired of drinking pool water.
ReplyDeleteAwwww!
ReplyDeleteGosh Mim, you are a heroine! My grands would be so happy as they are always doing that too.
ReplyDeleteFun sketch.

My friend gets deer in her pool and I have thought a ramp would be ideal for them. and any other creature.

It's too bad saving animals is seen as foolish by some! I say give the frogs a ramp or at least float a log in the pool. Although I'm sure the log wouldn't be appreciated either. My husband helps me with blog ideas or pictures too. It was his idea on my last Cactus Monday1
ReplyDeleteCute sketch:)

ReplyDeleteIt's a never ending pursuit isn't it? I'm always fishing them out. Chlorine's no good for that sensitive skin!
