Lynn has been asking how to upload pics from her iPad to her blog. I tried it and blogger saidnthatni have pics in picassa web site.  And frankly, I have no idea how they got there.  Maybe they are pics that I've posted here?  And it won't let me correct run on words like you see in this post.  Very odd, not user friendly at all

I am three kinds of animals today

Since I am traveling today I will be a bird, but since I started a diet (again!) this week, I will also be a crab!

  

and oh yes...since I still am human last time I checked....I am still a Human Animal.


And being Human, I am rather annoyed at Blogger right now as it won't let me update photos, or put them in the right place.

I've been obsessed!!

I have been absent lately  - well, I've posted but mentally I haven't been here.  Aside from having that damn stomach bug, which set me back a few days - I've been obsessed with completing the Water Lily Girls paintings.

Now I think I'm finished with the basic paintings.  I have to add detail and contour and shadow.  But also now I have to write a story to go with the pictures, so in the long run the pictures might change, which is why I've waited to add those final details.

Now the tough part - adding words.  Oy.

Post Labor Day

Aside from War, Hunger, Famine....is there anything worse than the " stomach flu" ?

DH had it at the beginning of the week ( mild case) and I had it at the end of the week - NOT mild.

Hurray for indoor plumbing, aspirin, cool cloths and ice water.  Couldn't have gotten thru the past 48 hours without you.

Labor Day Weekend - Day 1

Yesterday we spent the day on a beach on Martha's Vineyard, where two friends have houses.  Perfect weather, perfect friends, lovely day. Very end-of-summer-light and a fall feel in the air.   Their hubbies were fishing, mine went kayaking in ponds and ocean.

MV has a light of it's own making the grass greener, the flowers more richly colored, the beach more beach-colored and the sea blue- green.   From a scientific point of view, I'm not sure how and why this happens, but I love it, and always look forward to the clarity of the view anywhere on the island.

Perfect day on the start of  a long weekend. Today we see our nephews and their 'rents.  Could be another perfect day.
