Gangsta

Has anyone ever tried "Gizoogle"?  

I had 7 teenage kids with me yesterday, and one of them told me to try Gizoogle.  When it came up I typed in "Auntiemim" in the search bar...and it found my blog and turned the writing into "Gangsta" writing.  Very very crude language, obviously, but hysterically funny to teenagers.

What was I supposed to do?  It's like bad rap language, offensive to women, crude.

I let it all go and laughed as hysterically as the kids to see my blog in "gangsta".

But I still worry.....

Getting ready for a little trip

I am heading down to florida to get ready for mom's 90th birthday party.  My plan is to relax, work on the book, relax, sit in the sun, have a pedicure, relax, visit with family, go to a Sedar, relax, sleep, have visitors, rent a car, pick up people at the airport, check on the food and the hotel, check to see if we have music ready (gaa!), relax, go to the beach....and then party, and then collapse and relax some more.

Think my goals are unrealistic?  Yup...so do I.  I think if you take that list and remove all the "relax" part, it'll be more like it.

Oh well...mom only turns 90 once right?

I am still working on "Dad and his Pizza" childrens book.  Don't let ANYONE tell you that it is easy to do a Childrens Book - cause it ain't.  Many many hours into this and I'm not close to done.

This page I worked on tonight.  Not finished yet and only 28 pages to go.

what I have found that I have to do to get stuff on my sidebar again is to add new gadgets and then reenter all of the blog links.  I can't copy and paste from my old blog list.

It'll get done slowly but surely.    At least I have a side bar now!

oops...

Does anybody know how to get back the sidebar?  I tried under template, and it says "drag the things to the dotted area" but there is no dotted area and no dragging happening.

This isn't lookin' good!! Anyone know a good web designer who can help me???

Trying a new Template

It's spring outside, at least for a day - and that inspired me to fool around with templates for this blog.  I want something cleaner, classier, and more fun.

We'll see how it goes...I am by no means a programmer of any sort and it will take me awhile to get used to setting this up so that I like it.

I'd love your feedback as I go thru iterations - good, bad or eh!

(Note that spring means that the two feet of snow that we got on Friday is melting - not that I've seen any flowers or buds or robins or easter bunnies)

Animal Wednesday - Sea Animals

I've got a large moleskine drawing book and have been drawing sea animals with soft graphic pencil - mostly copied from photographs from National Geographic Magazine.  The images don't come out very well, due to the moleskine yellow background and the light pencil drawings so in some of them I played around with photoshop to enhance.

I loved drawing all these sea creatures but have a particular fondness for the Manatee and Baby and the Dugong.  And of course, the Beluga Whales.
