Animal Wednesday - Guess who....

Yes - it's little Scruffy!!  He was oh so happy to see me and we went for a ride in the car.

Over hear boy! look at me.....

OK - finally laying down and enjoying the ride

He is really one cute dog and very smart...we're all convinced that he understands English.  I took him for a long walk on Monday morning and he did really well for about 1.5 miles, then he started lagging behind and finally I had to stop and pick him up and carry him for about 1/4 mile, and then he was OK to walk the last 1/2 mile.

I took this video near the pool - an owl comes by and hoots like crazy at night.   He's much louder than he sounds like on the video - but that's as loud as my phone would record. Scares the daylights out of the dog.

Non-Animal Wednesday stuff

One day my cousin and I decided to go to the beach, and we convinced my mom to go with us.  The three of us had a hysterical time in the car switching between regular clothes and beach clothes - we got so hot and tired that we had to stop at a roadside diner for a drink.  The HobNob is an open air diner that's been in Sarasota since 1957 and is very very cool and fun. Great milk shakes and hot dogs and hamburgers and fries.  And egg white omelette's for breakfast, gotta keep up with the times.

Doesn't mom look dapper in her beach hat, and beach dress? And those skinny arms.

It was a hectic weekend but a good time.  My aunt who died last year was mom's sister and this cousins mom, so we did some reminiscing and had a lot of good laughs.

Ah Scruffy is adorable. I love how you had to carry him awhile. :) Love the place you stopped for drinks. I wish we had a cool place like that around here. Glad you had a nice time.

Glad you had a good time visiting in Florida. That little dog is really cute. It's nice that you can get down there often. Your mom looks like she's a real character.

Scruffy is adorable! Yes, I believe he DOES understand English....when an animal spends most of their time with humans - their English vocabulary grows!

The OWL is a marvel to me! Thank you so much for the video. Do you know, in all my travels, world=wide, I have NEVER encountered an Owl in the Wild...I loved hearing him *hoot*! Too funny that he scares the dogs!

Your Mum is an absolute Diva...it's in her blood - and will always be. She is gorgeous...love her hat, her shades and her lipstick! (And..her arms look great! I spend a lot of time with my weights to get the same results! A-ha-ha!)

I am sure it was a rather hectic get-together....but still, the change of scenery and visiting Family was good for you! I'm happy you had that walk with Scruffy!

Love,

♥ Robin ♥

jeez mim, your Mom's arms are in darn good shape. i'll think of her in my pilates workout :^)

i have to tell you that emily called me when she saw the 'guess who' title of this post. she said, 'mim wrote about me!" she thinks everything is about her, doesn't she? i hope she would not step on scruffy's foot on purpose....

i'm glad you've had some fun

love
