Animal Wednesday ...on wednesday

We took one afternoon and went biking in Myakka State Park while we were in Florida - and stupidly all I had for a camera was my Blackberry. So when we saw these Roseate Spoonbills I could only take a fuzzy far away shot of these pink lovelies standing in a line.

Here is a stock photo of one - really lovely looking birds.

Happy Animal Wednesday to you all!! Link away.

These are so wonderful - I love those pink birds as well. But I have to go to a zoo to see them in real live.

I linked to my Animal Wednesday entry from last week, so maybe some of you have already seen it... I hope I have something new next week.

Oooh, great spotting even though camera-less!
Southern climates have the most colorful birds.

HAW Ms. Mim!

Wow, I've never seen these birds in the wild...what a sight that must have been!

We have pelicans that nest in the Cariboo...I have yet to have my camera with me when I see one of those. It seems so strange to me to have pelicans way up North like this!

Well it must have been a real treat to see them all lined up like that! Such beautiful birds!

Hope mom is doing well.

Beautiful! They are so gorgeous!
I have only seen them in Zoos.... and on nature programmes...but even then, they take one's breath away. To see them in the wild - what a gift!

Love,

Bummer on not having your camera. I love these birds. Did a painting with them in it a few years ago.
