Tully Lake

For Paint Party Friday -

Drawn and colored while in a kayak on the lake.  Gotta love those fillable watercolor brushes

This is the first painting I've done in a LONG time, and the first done on site.  It was fun, and I'm going to keep working on it.

Your painting is just beautiful, Mim. How nice to paint on the kayak!
Thanks for your comments on my blog. My niece is doing well; she finished her chemo treatments, and will get her reconstruction done in August.

I think your piece is looking great for not having painted in a long time. Very nice, and while kayaking too. :)

Wow, great start on this. Can't wait to see the finished. Painting while in a kayak sounds like fun. Did you dip your brushes overboard? Happy PPF

For the life of me I can't get a handle on those refillable brushes! Too awkward for me. I need to be in control!

Sampson's taking shape :)

Your painting is magical, Mim!

All I see is tranquility here. I love the the way you have darkened the shoreline to the righthand side to give shape and definitiion . And I love the orangey colour in the trees. Very nice piece of work Mim and I'm well impressed you did this in-situ on your kayak. Lovely. Warmest hugs xx Jos

That's a very soft and ethereal painting - I've never heard of fillable watercolor brushes.
