Animal Wednesday - seen in NYC

All day long I've been feeling like something was missing, that I'd should have done something today but for the life of me I couldn't figure out what I should have been doing on a Thursday. Well...duh! it's Wednesday silly - so better late than never and here is something odd for Animal Wednesday....

I saw this in a New York City subway station - can you believe it? Isn't it amazing? It was hidden and dark and dirty (there were two of them or more) and I would have loved to have rescued it. I found that alot of the subway stations were decorated with wonderful tile work, and this one in particular represented the beaver pelts that made Jacob Astor rich.

The things you can see in New York - amazing.

Happy Very Late Animal Wednesday

i ♥ new york!

there is something to see on every block. my favorite is the corner little grocery stores, filled with rows of fresh flowers and fresh fruit, every color in the world there on those corners

it's extra special to ♥ new york with a very dear friend...

Isn't it a shame that some art gets tucked away and forgotten? It is really well done, I like it a lot! Hope you do well at the Yarbowl - surely KJ will change the name for you!

I have never been to NYC. I really have to get off my duff and go since I am now on the same side of the country. :) The subways could use some...um...redoing, from what I hear from just about everyone. This tile is lovely! xo Pam

wow, that is really cool! I did notice some of the tile work, but I wish I wasn't so concerned with finding my way so I could take the time to notice more!

Beautiful! Reminds me of the wood carvings at Timberline Lodge in Oregon.
