A Conversation.

Here is a perfect example of Venus and Mars.

The scene: getting ready to go out to dinner, each person in the duo getting dressed and generally trying to look good.

Me:  Does my hair look OK?  (Translation: all I want to hear is "yes, great")

Him:  Well, I think that you should decide whether it should be long or short, right now it's in between.  You should just make a decision.   Your roots are showing a bit, but not too bad and if you fluff it up you hide that, but I like the highlights that you did.

Me: !!!!!

Question: Does this happen in your house?

This is an example of the whole kitchen sink instead of the one dish in question!

ha ha ha too funny. In answer to that, my husband will always say. "I don't know why you ask. It always looks the same." Whether I'm just out of bed and haven't even brushed it or if I've spent an hour on it. It always looks the same.

Such questions puts a man in the position of wondering if his wife wants the truth, or if she just wants reassurance. If he concludes the latter is the case, he's between a rock and a hard place if he has no honest reassurance to offer.
