Early morning garden pics - wet day (six word saturday)

Garden Pictures on a Wet Day

Trillium and two colors of bleeding heart

This will all be filled in with Solomon Seal and Day lilies when the real blooming starts.

I'm setting up a little seating area near the shed and veggie garden - starting with the chairs and will be adding a few things as I go along.  Mostly salvage stuff - which I love to work with.

My potatoes are coming up - I have my fingers crossed that the Woodchuck doesn't like potato tops.

I do know that he doesn't like Rhubarb - cause this stuff comes up like crazy every year.

Near the new seating area is a new little birdhouse, I hope a nesting pair move in soon.

 Wet leaves, so beautiful

Near the back deck we have this handsome cement bulldog (altho I like to think of it as a Pug) - he guards our deck from marauding woodchucks, deer and other animals.

Beautiful area to totally get lost in. I think the trilliums are one of my favorite flowers, and of course, cannot grow them here. (clay soil...)
Your little concrete bulldog is a great garden over-seer! ;-)
Lovely post!

Your garden is coming along nicely. That photo of the leaves would make a wonderful painting.

We are starting to set up our summer garden 'stuff' too. Our Solomon seal is blooming now tho. Going to be lovely in your yard. Maybe you need a fake Owl to protect your garden veggies. Bright shining lights on them to scare off anything at night. :))

Gosh you live in a beautiful woodsy area!
I really love your salvaged chairs, ( I also enjoy doing the salvage thing) and your birdhouse is so pretty. Here's hoping it's a birdhome soon.
I'm thinking your bullpug dog is a fierce looking guard, sure to get the job done!

Your garden looks yummy and inviting Mim. I realize how much further north you live than I do after seeing these photos. Our spring is much advanced plant-wise.

Oh you are so much futher ahead down there than up here. love your seating area, it will be charming. Oh, that's great you have a solution to woodchuck invasion! He's a fierce guy.

We're considerably south of you and our day lilies have gone completely insane. I love seeing them each morning. Have a lovely Spring!
