Animal Wednesday - unexpected animals

A few weeks ago we were bike riding. DH was ahead of me (for once) and I was leisurely riding along the bike path. As I was riding along I was thinking about Animal Wednesday and hoping that I saw some new animals, because I felt boring and it felt like all of my animal sightings were hackneyed and old.

I looked up ahead and saw what looked like a dog pack coming out of the of woods, and it appeared that they might be circling DH's bike.  I raced forward to rescue him and saw.....

GOATS!!!!

They had escaped from their enclosure and were furiously munching the plants along the side of the bike trail - happy as could be.  They weren't even paying attention to DH on his bike, so no rescue was needed.

They were pretty darn cute, and were also gone and back in their enclosure by the time we rode back.

Later on I saw this goose protecting his/her babies - who you can just see by the side of the path.  I got Hissed at and the wings went out as I rode by.  Thankfully they weren't on the path either by the time we rode back.

Happy Animal Wednesday !

Goats are the cutest creatures. If they wouldn't eat my garden I would have to have one of those minature goats. Too cute I tell you. HAW.

Mim.... I laughed so much when I read this! Your words were suspenseful...as I kept scrolling down....and saw the word *GOATS*, I cracked up! They are so adorable...I love their ears, their eyes (oh-so-wise) and their tails!

*Mr/Mrs* Goose was pretty funny too...although a charging, hissing Goose is no laughing matter! I am happy the ride home was uneventful!

Oh, and as for your comments about us becoming bored with your *same old animal photos*...I say - NEVER!
I love seeing all the *critters* - be they in the water, atop a tall tree nesting (love the prior post...I'm still catching up), down in Florida - or wherever you go!

HAW!

Love,

♥ Robin ♥

I think it's pretty funny that you thought your dear husband was possibly being attacked by a pack of wild dogs but still had time to take your camera out and shoot a picture of them before the attack!

Glad the goats were friendly and non threatening after all.

The path looks very inviting for riding along. Pretty where you are!

Happy Animal Wednesday!

I love these goats! Whenever I go to the fair the first things I want to see are the goats and the alpacas. I always wanted to have pigmy goats but I never got the nerve to get some. I'm probably glad I never did. These are adorable.
