Animal Wednesday again - more Florida animals

Yes...more animals from around the pond. These were taken in the development that my mom lives in; just bike riding around the streets. Above photo - isn't the blue amazing behind that white curvy neck?
This guy was moving but I like this photo - it sort of reminds me of a sea monster, with his neck curving out of the water...

More shots below of gorgeous birds just looking for a meal. I like the second guys ponytail.

I was planning on posting some pictures of Northern animals in the snow this week, but it just started snowing and it's 2:00 am. So no deer picking their way thru the snowy woods, or tracks of tiny animals will be seen until hours from now - it's OK with me, while I really do love snow - so far this year I'm wishing I was a florida resident enjoying milder weather. We've had some cold days so far.

DH and I are still recuperating. Loss hits us at strange time, and we get teary or cranky. Work has been overwhelmingly busy - which is good - but tiring. Bedtime has been around 8:30 pm all week, with a fairly solid sleep thru the night. Which for me means - way tired. But it's all good, still have a good job - excellent bennies - so I'm happy. Next week I start my comic class and friday night drawing - so things will be VERY busy for the first quarter of the year. Again...it's all good.

So that's it.

Happy Animal Wednesday everyone!!!

Seeing the Great Egret with that warm blue water behind it is just what the Dr ordered for this cold January morning. The Great Blue Heron with its ponytail looks to be readying for spring time nuptials. HAW & Big Hugs...

Lovely birds!
Take good care of yourself - enough rest and occasionally do something fun (like your drawing classes). Can't wait to see what you'll create.

Beautiful Egrets and Herons - two of my most beloved birds! and yes, that Heron DOES resemble a sea monster from that angle!

I am so glad life is calming down for you and the New Year beckons with hope......AND....the return of Ms. Em!

Love,

Mim, it is normal to be teary when you are going though sorrow and to sleep a lot. Lovely photos of the birds! Sounds like good things are ahead. xoxo

Wonderful photos Mim...love the colors/contrasts...

I imagine you are both reeling in many ways from all you have been through of late. Glad you are getting lots of sleep/healing as that can be...be gentle with yourself(ves)...Hugs to both of you.

Have fun with those classes, I know you will. Good diversion too.

Some great bird photos. I love those birds. What you have been thru is wearing emotionally and makes one need more rest. Glad you have each other to get thru it with. also good you are getting back to your normal life of work and Art. Have fun snow shoeing in the snow. I laugh at our little piddling snow we had compared to yours. It was fun getting that snow tho..That said we are now in the 5oies here. Much better even tho it was fun & a bit magical. :)

They are lovely alright. Glad things are getting back to normal but take your time. Grief hits everyone differently but needs to be felt.

I,too, like what Baino said. It most definitely does, but it comes like the waves of the ocean...some are small waves that can easily be dealt with, and some are large waves which can swamp you with emotions. It sounds as if you are dealing well, though, Mim.

Just looking at these photos makes me feel warmer...it's blowing a blizzard outside in sub-zero temperatures..
