It's still Wednesday night and here they are....

DON'T go in the water around here!!!!

From far away they look like logs....deadly logs!!

Look at that grin...

Getting ready to slither into the water - looking for some delicious dinner

The others getting ready to follow.

And a Turkey Buzzard doing the smart thing and flying away.

Oh, these alligators give me delicious shivers of prehistoric fear. I love to watch them - am terrified of them - there's no reasoning with these animals. No taming them. ooooohhhh.....

Oooooooh....is right! Scary....but actually beautiful in a scaly-sort of way! I like to see them slither into the water....and lie there, almost totally submergered.....just their eyes peeking out....

Such old spirits....they have existed in this world for eons...

Cool shots Mim!!!!!!

Love,

Positively awesome photos Mim...wondering how close you were and were they in the wild wide open spaces or fenced in? Oy!
I've seen them in zoos but never so up front and personal.

Holy Cow! These buggers are big as cows!! I am amazed. And the birds aren't so small either. Wonder why the gators don't eat the birds?
I like looking at them, also. They are so prehistoric/dinasaur-like. They give me the willies, but I still find them fascinating. Can't imagine wrestling one, can you?

These are such scary animals! Looks like we were both in the mood for predators for this week's Animal Wednesday.

I love seeing alligators and crocodiles, too. Just modern-day dinosaurs.

These prehistoric creatures are amazing. Seeing so many in one place is intimidating...to me but obviously not to the vultures. The vultures are just waiting for the leftovers.

how close were you, you brave aligator huntress?
