The NEXT project

I loved everyone's comments on my sketchbook project, and I could finish it and send it in. But...maybe I'm just not ready to part with Miss Em yet and send her out into the big world without me.

That might have some truth in it.

But - ever hopeful fool that I am - I joined the next project - which is more of a writing/drawing sketchbook. Now I know what I'm getting myself into and the first thing that will happen to each of those pages will be a coat of gesso!

The theme is "a Day in the Life". I'm looking forward to it. I think I'll have fun with that theme - random items from my day could be interesting (to someone). But I'll also do drawings from work meetings - sketching in the back of the room!

Like this guy who was in a meeting with me today. Ok, yes, - I've exaggerated his physique, but he was big and barely fit the chair. I'll do a series of drawing of a day in his life.

Like here he is waiting for his morning coffee......

Could be fun.

Speaking of fun - it feels good to be sharing again, posting again, emailing friends, commenting. I'm starting to wake up - that's how I feel now.

Welcome back to life 101. :) Its so nice to see you back at it again. How long do you have for this next project? Looks like it will be fun and you've got a good start to it. Look forward to seeing more.

I've started on the back of your Artshine page tonight. I hope you don't sue me for plagerizing. LOL
A day in the life indeed! More like four days in the life of...
You'll see soon.

Your new project sounds like fun. Are the same people organizing it?
Itotally hear you about not wanting to send Ms Em out into the world (without you!)...Let her shine in her own books first that you can reproduce in mass for the masses! We love Ms Em!!!

I'm glad you are feeling more with the world again. Hope DH is doing well too. Might take him a little longer?

Sorry late again but I have read the last three posts. He's a cute character, cuddly. Good to have you on top of things again. Be good to yourself.

I understand COMPLETELY your not wanting to part with Miss Em - yet.
She will need (and demand - after all, she IS a Superhero) a big, professional send-off to a publisher - when you are ready.
(Remember, I have seen her in print, in book form.....at KJ's.)
Miss Em looks totally at home on pages!

Your "Day in the Life" drawings remind me of one of my ex-Macy*s colleagues....ha-ha!

Love,

♥ Robin ♥

Well, welcome back to our world, mundane as it is.
These are cute sketches. I marvel at how you all find so much in your daily lives to make art about. (and how you find the time to actually MAKE some art!)

Glad you are feeling that way.
I am just catching up since today. But later this week I hope to get something creative done as well.
I feel I have nothing to share or show right now, not even thoughts so I am starting by visiting , commenting....................
What courage to start another project Mim!

Enjoy it!
Enjoy your life ♥

Welcome back. I'm sure Miss Em will venture out into the world when she's good and ready. Don't pressure her, she seems very wise and will choose her own timing I'm sure. I've been in a bit of a funk and trying to rejoin the world. Baby steps.

I really like this guy. He is perfect for a study...I love it when he's waiting for his coffee. It's so nice to have you back and ready to greet the world again, Mim...Em will go when she's good and ready, just like you!
