Animal Wednesday - Salamander

We saw this fella when we were kayaking recently. He was a bit more brown thru the water, but I like the red tinge with yellow spots. There were hundreds of them around that day, slipping and wrigging thru the old leaves and twigs. Fun to watch, impossible to catch, cool to draw.

HAW all!

It is wonderful Mim. I can't imagine seeing so many.

And (giggle) we were almost on the same page. Look for my post tomorrow.

This is wonderful Mim. I saw something similar peeking out of a hole in a post this spring. HAW.

I've had pet salamanders before-they are way cool. I wouldn't mind having some more one day.

First, don't let Debra Kay have any salamanders today because of the s-n-a-k-e-s ! They wouldn't last a nanosecond.

Second, I love love this pinkish-yellow-polka-dot gal :)

I had a friend (when I lived in Hingham,Ma) named Linda Salamander. Pinky swear!

HAW!!
