These are little study- pieces that I did about over a year ago, when I was starting to play with paints. I thought you might like them - I've posted them before but it was a long time ago. I still need to figure our perspective as I would like some depth. I know that smaller things are further away, and darker things are closer but it all still eludes me. Either way, I enjoy my little funny world and hope you do too!

Such whimsy . .they'd make fabulous children's quilts if you were handy with a needle! Very cute happy pics
She is handy with a needle and she makes children's quilts!!! Go Mim!
I love the underground stuff...
And the flying stuff too...
the persective seems fine to my eye.
I have one of yours on hand right now in a sketchbook I am adding too and I must say these photos of your work are ever much as good as the one in person is. Great job all around.
What fun and colorful sketches. I'm glad you brought them back.
i think they are magical too.
i love these so much, mim. \

the colors and movement are divine.

These are wonderful. Very playful.
In oils when I want something to look futher back I glaze it so it doesnt look so bright & close. Maybe if you fade something you want to set back it will help.
Light cool colors resede, darker
warm colors come forward.
Beautiful! A lot of it reminds me of the fanciful animation pictures from Yellow Submarine.
I love you guys!!!
Oh Mim, do lots and lots of these!!!
Sweet.
Forget all about perspective, not necessary.
I love them. I need more work on my whimsy!
totally charming. I agree, forget perspective. just go with this.!
these are so child-like and a little psychedelic yes...like Barbara said, reminds me of Yellow Submarine days...Fun and who needs perspective!
they are so beautiful, your paintings, very poetical, I love the flying persons and this looks as a very good dream to me:)
I really enjoy your little funny world too:)
(and Paris in the fall IS somehow mellow, but then, before Christmas, everybody starts to chime in into the something a little more speedy...

Andrea
Oh, I love your little worlds. Your painting is so careful and yet your pages are so magical. They look like they belong in a wonderful children's book. These would make terrific storyboards for elementary schools. Keep doing this.
I love the underground scenes. What an imagination! And flying people - are they in a dream state or souls? Either way it reminds me of dreams that I have - I can fly in my dreams!
