yes...more paper mache bowls

What am I learning by making all these bowls? Well, for one thing, I am learning what I like and what I do not like, in terms of color and finishing and edges, and size. I made 4 little ones (three shown here) and basically like them...but since the top edges were more structured, I had to finish them off with a top. I do like the tops but not as much as I like the raw edges, and light colors. It's a learning experience, one that I'm enjoying. Color does not come easily to me, its' a constant learning experience.

The one below I've shown you before, but I have now finished it with the edging - a cord made out of some old ribbon I had hanging around the house.

I have no idea what I am going to do with them, perhaps friends will be the happy (?) recipients. Or maybe not.

They would make beautiful Easter baskets to pass out to loved ones.

I love these bowls! Why don't you join the One World One Heart Giveaway, and give away one of these bowls. It would be a great gift! Check it out here: http://awhimsicalbohemian.typepad.com/a_whimsical_bohemian/one-world-one-heart.html

The bowl at the top is my favorite so far. Anyone would appreciate receiving them as a gift. Easter treats would be most appropriate use for these.

I love them all, and they would be fabulous as Easter gifts or gifts for any reason!

Mim you guys are so talented how you can just pick up anything and do it.

Beautiful little bowls. Our local Hospice collects those little bottle of shampoo and lotion that hotels give people. I can see them putting them in one of these beautiful little bowls, in the guest room for a visiting family member.
Do you have a local Children's Hospital? I can see the same thing filled for a family member that has to stay near their child while they have treatment.
Working in a series is always helpful. You learn so much about what works, what you like, what it needed. :)Bea

I was most interested in your papier mache bowls Mim. I had a yen to do some before Christmas and made a few. I did put them on my blog at the time. I also love doing ones with chicken wire and today I found some in the orchard - all ready to make a strange shaped 'thing'.

I love your bowls, they are so pretty. I like to make odd shaped tops too! I haven't tried putting string round the top, I like that idea. Mine are just sitting on a shelf! Oh, I did give some for Christmas just for fun.
