On the way to bike riding one day last week, we saw this corner deli/gas station/liquor store in Picnic, Florida.
What I want to know is this. Does it say "Fried Chicken Gizzards" or "Fried Chicken" and - separately - " Gizzards". You tell me.
I do know what "Hot Pressed Cubans" are - but still it brings an interesting image to mind.

LOL, it says 'fried chicken gizzards'! It's a 'southern thang'! I used to gag when my mother made these when I was a kid...gross! Gizzards, ewwwww...but I have plenty of family members that eat them... me? no way, no how, never ever!
I love that you saw this and took the time to photograph it!
Now that looks southern.
Now I like our Cuban from London.
xoxo
LOL.. I loved the hot-pressed cubans. hmmmm What a great photo. LOL
Oh, this made me smile and giggle a bit, being somewhat a new southerner. Too bad they didn't have boiled AND fried peanuts, too! (and I'd press against a hot cuban anytime)
Okay, California gal needs to know
What IS a Hot Pressed Cuban
and What IS Devil Crab???
Not from the South of anywhere!
Its a whole new world down there isn't it? Gizzards .. GAH! Who eats gizzards unless they're mooshed up into pate? Hmm partial to the latino type myself, send over a hot pressed cuban pls!
Personally I prefer the 12 inch Italians. Love your photo!
Cute. one of the fun things about travel I guess. all the foreign foods.
I'm going with Fried chicken gizzards. And I have no idea what a hot-pressed cuban is. Please do tell : )
Don't you just love signs? I could fill a whole folder on funny ones that I have taken pictures of over the years. They just make me smile.
I'll pass on the Fried chicken gizzards but I wouldn't say no to a hot pressed Cuban. YUMmmmmmmmmm :)Bea
unfortunately ladies...a hot pressed cuban is a sandwich!
We'll have to ask Cat what a devil crab is - I have no idea
I thought perhaps a hot pressed Cuban was a cigar but then I remembered they're illegal.
Maybe it's supposed to be deviled crab?
I love signs! I stopped by the roadside in Mass one day and took a picture of a sign that said "naive corn." I guess they forgot the "T!" I sent the photo to the local paper ;)
Chicken gizzards definitely. I don't like them but most of my family eat them. Now I could probably get used to a hot pressed cuban. Sounds delightful, I mean delicious.
LOL!
I can see the hot Cuban pressed in front of me.....
