Weekend Work

Just a note to say that DH and I spent alot of hours this weekend talking about a new business plan for me...my baby quilts and Miss Em. May happen...may not but it was great to start thinking of future plans.

I'll keep ya posted on that idea.

Funny/strange midnight items:

1) wierd screaming from outside at 2:00 am. I went under the covers while the big strong man peeped out the window. It was the Fisher Cat - why he was screaming is beyond me but it's an awful sound.

2) Funny Dreams: Pigs on Parade led by Miss Em twirling a baton. There was a Piglet section too. All pigs in formation. Without Miss Em it would have been a bit too much of Animal Farm, but with her it was just funny.

Happy Monday (ugh)

Good luck with you new business plan.

I've observed that screaming cats means that love is in the air.

You do have some funny dreams! I hope you and DH are able to figure out an income from your art and doing what you love to do. My dad told me a long time ago to either find a job you love even if it doesn't have good pay, or find a job that pays very well if you hate it. I hope you find both!

Mim, the "Fisher Cat" episode was too funny! I do believe that "Love was in the air" that night!

You are so talented - in many fields... "Miss Em" is such a delight - she should be published!
Your photographs are also stunning...

No matter what, the next few months will be difficult as your job winds down....use your many artistic outlets as "therapy" to keep yourself alive to the beauties of the world. You have time to make plans....and although we are new friends, I see your strength and courage.... and I know you will be okay.

Love and Courage!

It sounds like you were working with Mz M all night. Nothing worse than a cat catterwalling.

The fact that you are right on this issue tells me everything will work out just great!
Ms Em is such a winner and babies are always coming.

Best of everything!

Could you incorporate Miss M, [Em]broidered or appliqued onto some little quilts?

Sounds rather promising. One door closing etc. Was watching GMA this morning and they have a new job discription now.. gigonomics ..This one family lost their full time paying job & coudnt find another one and started doing different.. 'gigs'.. during the day or week that added up to paying the bills. They like it so much they dont want to go back to the old way of working. So anything is possible.

My nephew in NH has a lot of fisher cats around him. They've run off with all of their cats. Vicious little buggers! Aren't they like wolverines or badgers?

I like how your wheels are turning ;)
The pig parade is such a great visual already!

All great endeavors begin with simple conversation. I am rooting for your new business plan. I think it could work, especially the "Miss Em" part. Or even the fish! I really think you should draw for children's books, or just publish your own. You really have talent, Mim, and who knows, you may just get lucky and hit it big!
DREAM BIG, OR DON'T DREAM AT ALL!

I like your conversation too...I hope you can get this "business" off the ground and flying! Good luck!

What the heck is a fisher cat?

I like that you are already following a dream! I've only seen a Fisher Cat at the zoo, but I bet their voice is frightening!
