Mitzvah Friday - on Saturday

Well, yeah - I'm in Florida and that is a mitzvah in and of itself. I had to get up at 3:00 am to leave the house and by last night I was so tired I was hallucinating at dinner. I kept thinking I saw cats outside the pool. Got ready to send myself to bed and then found out it actually was the cat from next door. So I wasn't hallucinating or maybe I wasn't so tired? I don't know - I was too tired to figure it out.

Anyway .....back to the topic.

I have a cousin who is an Occupational Therapist and she specializes in Hands. I made her a little niche/shriny thing in the shape of a hand. There is a little glass box in the palm in which I put small tiny hands and arms. Sounds odd and it is but she liked it and was very happy to get it.
This isn't the one I actually did for her, but just an image that I found on line. I filled the little niche with hand and arm things and she loved it. So that was my good deed/present giving thing for the week.

a wonderful gift. both the hand w/niche and your presence with your DH and MIL. Maybe the cat is a mascot.

Mim, everything you and DH do for your MIL IS a Mitzvah.....you both are wonderful!

Tha Hand niche for your Cousin was so clever..... I know she adored it!

Hope you don't "hallucinate" any Crocs or Gators in Florida! Look before you step!

Love and Prayers,

♥ Robin ♥

mim, when you get home there will be a rather sweet package waiting for you...

about this hand: what do yo mean you found an image on line? you mean someone ELSE made a hand like this for someone?!!! i see this as so unique and mim-like.

love you girlfriend. don't forget to breathe and pace.

Talk to the hand!!!

"Hello hand. You're beautiful and oh so clever!"

Mim, if you look the word "mitzvah" up in the dictionary it will have your name.
You are a good person to all you come across and those of us who know you are a million times blessed ;)

Like my own, your hallucinations--if they WERE hallucinations--sound dreadfully boring. Why can't we hallucinate drop-dead-gorgeous suitors or a ride on Pegasus? Cats for you; ants for me--whoopee.

Hope you have gotten some rests. How long is the flight to Florida from your home? Glad the cats were not IN the pool, now that would have been a true hallucination!
Hugs to you, DH and mom.
I give you a round of applause with my hands for your clever hand!

I laughed about about your cat by the pool confusion. I certainly get a bit rummy when I'm tired, but have not seen any imaginary cats....yet.

Oh, you are so thoughtful and there for those who surround you...love the thought behind the shrine and the meaning behind the gift...
