Animal Wednesday - puggies and ospreys....

Drowning and being licked to death by tiny adorable Pugs...

what a way to go!!

I had a really cute video lined up for today - saw it at work. But for the life of me, I can't remember the name of it so I can't find it on YouTube.

So to compensate, I found this puggy video and will also show you the Osprey nest that we saw last weekend. In the summer time, we can see the birds in the nest, with occasional tiny heads popping up screaming for food. But at this time of year it appears quiet.....I guess they all summer in South America!

The Osprey (Pandion haliaetus), sometimes known as the sea hawk or fish eagle, is a diurnal, fish-eating bird of prey. It is a large raptor, reaching 60 centimetres (24 in) in length with a 2m wingspan. It is brown on the upperparts and predominantly greyish on the head and underparts, with a black eye patch and wings.

Their nests are used year after year and get larger and larger - we saw some in Maine many years ago that were over 50 years old by local legend.

Happy Animal Wednesday all!!

I think that puppy lady is a little kinky! LOL
Love the nest and bird, beautiful and interesting to learn that they continue to add on to the nest over the years. I wonder if they have rent control in their area!
;-) HAW!!!

How special to find a nest like that! You must live in an amazing area! You have always such special things to show .
Have to see the pugs at home YouTube doesn work well on my little laptop.....:(
But you know I LOVE pugs!

Have been lucky with the weather here. Woke up with a thunderstorm but it as dry after a very long breakfast. When I reached the bean, which I wanted to see this time the sun come through and when I was finished there it disappeared then I had the perfect weather conditions to shop ;)
Today is sunny, colder but with gusts of wind Hope by the time I fly the wind will be less

HAW MIM and thanks for thinking about me with the weather!!!

We have lots of Ospery nests in our area. Its fun to come along one on a road in the country or even in our park & see one flying some food to it's young ones at the top of a pole or man made roost, which they do a lot around here too.

I was completely ignorant of the osprey nest building thing, so I loved learning that! I've never seen one of these gorgeous birds in the real.
Giggling over the adorable pugs,,,
