I am heading to Prince Edward Island this week, where I expect to encounter these animals - hopefully in abundance - and steeped in garlic.
These animals - meh - I'm not fond of this delicacy - I'll stay with the mussels thank you very much!
Happy Animal Wednesday - isn't this an odd one?
(note: I am here working and...we are expecting 2 inches of snow tonight. Guess I won't wear my open toed sandals to dinner tonight!)

I don't care for mussels and I've never had oysters but I do LOVE clams!!
PEI~ a dream destination. It shouldn't be so out of reach now that I'm back here.
In a couple of weeks I'll be heading to Ottawa and then later in the summer, New Brunswick.
Have fun Mim!! You must be feeling lots better seeing as you're talking about food :)
HAW! xo♥
Since I have always lived inland I have not developed a taste for those sea creatures. Here we have bass, bluegill, sun fish, catfish etc. Nothing that seems exotic like mussles and oysters. HaW.
I love mussels in a garlic/wine sauce...
PEI is on my list of places to see...we're planning an across Canada trip in about three years. That's when I'll get to enjoy it.
It sounds like a lot of fun, Mim, enjoy your holiday!!
now i have to go look up exactly where price edward island is. is it a working holiday mim?
i hope you get your fill of yummy mussels and i would happily eat up the oysters!
have a lovely trip, i'm looking forward to your report and photos.
:)
Love your HAW "animals"! Have a fantastic time....what a fantastic place to visit! Yumm.......mussels in garlic butter..oh my! (I used to adore Oysters...but no longer...they don't adore me anymore!)

Happy Passover!
That said, lets talk about shell fish! LOL
DH LOVES fried clams you get on the East Coast, especially in Boston! He did a lot of growing up in that area btw. He loves the clams in the shells too.
I like some clams on linguine and shrimp scampi.
Grapes and Libby are doing fine just thought you'd want to know!
I would never eat anything like that ugh! HAW to you Mim and specially to doggie lovers.
Ugh.. Saw a lot of those when living at the Beach. Dont like them either. How positively wonderful to be going to PEI. wow. reminds me of Anne of Green Gables when that Island is mentioned.
I'm partial to smoked oysters out of a tin. And oyster stew. I'll eat clam strips...yum, but never have been able to do the slimy stuff in shells.
I dont like shellfish except for clams fried. Once a year. the only foreign country I have visited is PEI. Loved those red rocks.
You can have my share Mim, I don't like any of them but the Island sounds like fun. Hope we are going to get pix!
HAW
