Tuesday night in Prince Edward Island - almost Animal Wednesday

I have been to this island a few times over the winter and since it was always snowing and cold and windy, I never saw that one block to the left out the front door is that Ocean! Yes, big and bluish, and powerful. Duh, Mim, wake up!

So today I took a long walk early in the morning and cleared my brain from the travel fog and then went to work with a much clearer outlook on the day. I am with a group of people from work, and tonight we went clear across the island for a "Lobsta Dinnah" - which was pretty good.

The wireless in the hotel is pretty good too, so to take advantage I'm posting my Animal Wednesday picture now - a perfectly drawn (not) illustration of a Hippo Butt!

HAW to everyone - thanks for the buddy system.

I love that butt! Hippos are so cool. PEI is one of the places I'd like to visit, in the summer, although, truly I'm considering how I've limited myself by avoiding the cold. I've always wanted to snowshoe and I do recognize that what we have here is more ice than snow.

I will be in Sarasota over the weekend of the 4th of July from Thurs to Tuesday (actually arrive Wed-Wed) and if you are going to be there, would love to get together.

Well he gave me a giggle. Just catching up with what you've been up to. Awful what happened to your friend, what a horrible thing to have to deal with. Not to mention the lack of remorse on her husband's part- I hope you're feeling less bruised by the experience now.

I've only been out of the country USA once and it was to PEI which I loved. Esp the red rocks. I brought some home. FYI the author of "Anne of Green Gables" lived on PEI but if you are there for work you might not have time to tour. I bought a pair of hand knit from PEI sheep socks as a souvenir.

I'm not sure what this big butt is telling the world...but I hope the message gets to where/whom it belongs! ;-)

And enjoy that work/vacation!
