One or two of the screws or pins is coming a bit loose and causing me trouble, so I really don't have an option - but am looking forward to regaining extra mobility and less cramping and pain.
Yea for me, Yea for orthopedic surgeons and yea for less misery in the long run.
And Happy Animal Wednesday to all my blogger friends!

I'm lucky-I've never had to have any removed. One of the ones in my heel was giving me fits, but finally I calloused around it so it doesn't hurt-"walking on pins and needles" takes on a whole new meaning.
Elephant feet are cool-but maybe it's just the lack of a shapely ankle or calf. I saw an elephant get knocked off its feet the other day and I was surprised that could even be done.
Goodness, I didn't know that you had elephants in OK. Savanna elephants?
I think I saw the same show DK did...an elephany bull charged it and tipped it right over!! That's Animal Planet for you, it shows lots of good stuff!
Speaking of good stuff, these drawing are really good! Did you know that an elephant with a raised trunk is considered to be good luck? Unless they tip you over, of course :)
HAW!!
Enjoyed catching up here after our month on the road...wishing you well as you change your bionic woman status with the doctors!
Love the cow photo, and thought of Suki too as you were touring NH.
Wanted you to come upon her barn and HER.
Lovely flowers wet and dry...cute elephants.
Be well.
oh i love these drawings very much... they make me happy... they emit a sense of lightness and joy...
the way the elephant is walking or running... you don't feel he is a heavy animal... you just see his liveliness...
maybe a wish for your ankle to be free from pain...
and dear Mim... art has got a magical healing force... i'm sure your ankle will be pain-free soon...
your drawings show the invisible soul, too...
and i see the same thing as human being, a carefree ellie with a jaunty step, which i hope you'll have soon HAW dearest mim!
I don't know if elephants can be called cute but these sure are!!
HAW
All best bone-wishes.
I love elephants too. I heard this woman interviewed on NPR and she spent years with the elephants in Africa, fighting the practice of hilling them for their tusks. She wrote a book I was going to order but it was very expensive. I cant remember her name now.
I hope you foot, ankle procedure goes well. And that you are no longer in pain. Today, Mom's foot twisted under her and she tudded to the carpet. Luckily she was unharmed but she could have really damaged her ankle or hip. Whew.
LOL, no native elephants in Oklahoma, but we do have Television and Zoos....I was watching animal planet as usual.
Ah Deb - my illusions of wandering elephants in Tulsa are now gone...but it was nice while it lasted. I pictured you living on a savannah, foraging for food and watching elephants and wildebeast wander around munching grasses. Nice image while it lasted and sounds like a lovely inspiration for a whimsical drawing....???....
oh my ankle hurts just thinking about it. i also have some pins and a metal thingie in my lower leg (not ankle) and it hurts at very odd times so i'm just wriggling over here thinking about it. good luck!
lovely, lovely elephant drawings, btw!
I hope it all goes well tomorrow Mim.
oddly enough, i had a dream about an elephant tuesday night and really wanted to draw one when i woke up wednesday. i haven't had time to do so yet, but i really love yours!
