I saw a special on bears this week so thought I'd draw some of their fierce and friendly faces. I know that bears are not usually very friendly, but as we all know there is something very appealing to humans about bears. Is it the "Teddy Bear" syndrome? or their sometimes bumbling manner? Why do they seem familiar somehow?
Happy Animal Wednesday friends!

both of them impress deeply... each in a unique way...
the first one tells me to be rational... the second lets me fantasize...
:)
Fun sketches. TV is a great place to practice!
HAW
Not really an animal Wednesday comment ... well sort of. Zoe has discovered Curious George ... books, the movie and now she has become one with the beautiful quilt. She carrys it everywhere. Thank you again : )
I think we love the way bears are so soft and approachable looking. Cuddly in a huge kind of way. It's hard to believe that immense danger lurks behind those eyes, but oh my! I sure wouldn't want to encounter one.
Great studies Mim! HAW!
HAW-bears fascinate and frighten me. The bear I enjoy the most is the polar bear, who is one of the deadliest. I'm not rational.
my favourites are winnie the pooh, rupert and paddington bear. haw on thursday!
wonderful bears mim, i need to find my bear we saw in Yellowstone.
He's somewhere in my wilderness of photo CDs....buried on this desk with things needing to be done...
Loved your John Kerry post below too.
Mim it seems you've been gone so long....
I love your bears!
The bears are great. When under the influence of my last boyfriend I watched a bear movie, non-fiction, about this guy who went into the wilderness for years befriending, he thought, the bears and photographing them etc. Communing with them. It was a grizzly movie as in the end....gulp. Kinda takes you away from the cutsie Teddy Bear image.
