Shiny new traveling artbook

A group of us are involved in a new traveling sketchbook - which is so much fun/work/challenge to be involved with - here is the front and back of my first page for my book. This then travels to 9 other artists around the world and finally makes it way back to me reading for binding.

Page 1 took me hours and hours to do. Detail work on the design, metallic foil application, painting etc. It was peaceful work and I enjoyed it.

Page 2 on the other hand was a 10 minute blast with watercolor crayons. I like it also, love those crayons and plan to do more with them.

Enjoy your day. I live in Massachusetts, where the voting will be hot and heavy today!!!

I am sad I am not participting in another book right now but happy that I will get to see all of the pages which will be great inspiration. I bet you will have a sticker that says "I voted" before too long. It will be interesting to see what happens.

I just love how the first half of the fish is in color and the rest isn't. I had to enlarge it so I could get lost in the magic of it all!!

The softness and contrast of the other medium is a perfect choice. Wow Mim!!

Tell me more about the watercolor crayons. They sound like so much fun and something I might actually be able to creative something with! Where does one buy them, etc. Thanks.
