Signs

On the way to bike riding one day last week, we saw this corner deli/gas station/liquor store in Picnic, Florida.

What I want to know is this. Does it say "Fried Chicken Gizzards" or "Fried Chicken" and - separately - " Gizzards". You tell me.

I do know what "Hot Pressed Cubans" are - but still it brings an interesting image to mind.

LOL, it says 'fried chicken gizzards'! It's a 'southern thang'! I used to gag when my mother made these when I was a kid...gross! Gizzards, ewwwww...but I have plenty of family members that eat them... me? no way, no how, never ever!

I love that you saw this and took the time to photograph it!

Now that looks southern.

Now I like our Cuban from London.

Oh, this made me smile and giggle a bit, being somewhat a new southerner. Too bad they didn't have boiled AND fried peanuts, too! (and I'd press against a hot cuban anytime)

Don't you just love signs? I could fill a whole folder on funny ones that I have taken pictures of over the years. They just make me smile.

unfortunately ladies...a hot pressed cuban is a sandwich!

We'll have to ask Cat what a devil crab is - I have no idea

I thought perhaps a hot pressed Cuban was a cigar but then I remembered they're illegal.

Maybe it's supposed to be deviled crab?

I love signs! I stopped by the roadside in Mass one day and took a picture of a sign that said "naive corn." I guess they forgot the "T!" I sent the photo to the local paper ;)

Chicken gizzards definitely. I don't like them but most of my family eat them. Now I could probably get used to a hot pressed cuban. Sounds delightful, I mean delicious.
