Six Word Saturday

I Heard the Peepers Last Night

Everyone in New England knows that Peepers are the first real harbinger of spring. We might have some cold days left...we might even have snow!! But the Peepers tell us that spring is really coming.

It's a lovely sound, full of hope and the promise of good weather.

Ya gotta love the Peepers

Here is a link to last year's peeper chorus jubilee

Isn't it amazing how exciting it is to hear the Peepers singing their hearts out. Come on Spring.

It's fun how we all have our "first signs". For me, it's daffodils. I love all the green sprouty things that are happening in my yard right now.

Thanks for playing 6WS!

If the Peepers herald in spring, I love them already! P.S. What are Peepers? Possibly your next door neighbors who carry that last name and play trombone at the start of new seasons? LOL! Just funning you-- enjoy your weekend!

KJ....I am surprised at you...

everyone - they are FROGS!!! "The spring peeper (Pseudacris crucifer) is a small chorus frog widespread throughout the eastern USA and Canada". They have a lovely chorus and I will post a link to what I posted last year - I went out at night and did a peeper video.

Goodness, goodness...

Oooo, I LOVE the peepers, we heard them last night too, they're chorus is so soothing. When my kids were in scouts lots of the boys would catch them at camp. We'd admire how small they are and let them go, looking forward to their evening peeps!

KJ, wow - I'll bet Emily knew that!

Mim, do I get "bonus points" for knowing that Frogs are "Peepers"?
And, I'm a "West Coast Girl"!
Ha-ha! I don't hear them these days, they are non-existent in San Francisco...but up North in Sonoma, they are already "Holding Court".

Love, love, LOVE your blog!

Heard them last night...I can remember there were times last year that the peeping actually got on my nerves! I will know if therapy is helping this spring, if I don't feel that way, haha!
