I tried a mobile post

...but it didn't work. Long strange story to tell about the last few days - hence the no Animal Wednesday post.

About 6 months ago I had a fainting spell - but just assumed it was from being tired, and a bit under the weather.

Well, it happened again on Tuesday night right after dinner. My day had been good but hectic. Met a friend for lunch...got a flu shot...had a good busy day at work...came home and we had a late dinner....and then pow! out like a light. I felt it coming on and instead of being sensible and simply laying down on the kitchen floor I headed up to the bedroom. Where...instead of falling into bed...I did a major face plant on the floor - hitting the humidifier - which shattered (plastic but deadly) and split my lip open. With gushes of blood, poor DH was FRANTIC and angry and scared. Long story short - straight to the ER where they decided that my blood pressure was not compatible with life and I was admitted. And stitched up.

48 hours later and I am out. Nothing wrong on all the millions of tests. Everything normal...except that I fainted.

Dr. says to drink more water and eat more salt and if I feel a faint coming on...cough.

So I'm home, with whiskers in my lip, and a headache and glad it wasn't worse. So glad.

So...that was my week! Hope you all had a better week! and I'm saving the masterpiece of animal art that I was working on for next week!

OMGOSH..That was scary. Hope you truely are alright now. I passed out once hitting the floor face down and leaving one of my teeth in the tile floor so its really not a good thing to do. Take care now and hope that doesnt happen again.

Hey Mim, boy, what are you doing? Hope you are feeling better now. You should take better care of yourself. I keep wondering how you manage to get some much stuff into a day.

Sending you get-well-hugs over the ocean.

And you know what the silly part is? I hate drinking alot of water cause I hate taking time to go to the bathroom! How dumb can you get!!!

Additionally there is nothing like a good scare to make you change some habits...

Holy crap! Maybe when you were feeling a meltdown coming on, that was a precurser to the fainting spell? As long as you're okay! And thank goodness the tests all came back normal. I'm also glad DH was right there :)

Holy moley what a scary ordeal this was! I am so glad you are okay. Did the doctor give any reason for the fainting? Just low blood pressure? Do you need to monitor that? OY VEY!!!!

Be well dear friend, be well.

Yikes! This is so scary and ringing a bit close to home. I have very low blood pressure and at work, no time to drink anything. I always get "head rushes" if I have to squat down for something then get back up! Glad you are ok and all went well..other than your whiskers. Fingers crossed and well wishes on their way!

I haven't been to your blog in ages and it seems all heck has broken loose. I'm so sorry to hear about the lip and the fainting. But I'm glad I had time to catch up. Hang in there.
