Creative every day

I'm laughing out loud tonight as I tried on my first attempt at a sweater. It was an easy pattern, but as usual, I think of myself as much bigger than I really am, so I went for the larger size pattern. It's ENORMOUS! Yes, it needs blocking but also needs 2 inches off the arms and about 6 inches around the body. But I'm not going to do any of that. I'm going to wash and dry it and block it or whatever you're supposed to do. And then I'm going to enjoy it and try again.

Maybe I should sign up for those knitting classes.....

Your color combo is right on. Throw that baby in the washer.

Funny. For years (and maybe sometimes still) my body image was one of seeing myself a good size larger or more than I was/am.
So I can relate.
The sweater is very pretty. And the knitting looks wonderfully done.
I hope you get a sweater close to the right size out of this. At least a comfy knock around in sweater.

It's not wool is it? If it is felt it and cut it up for art projects! That's what I would do. ;-)

That's funny but kind of a shame! It is beautiful!

it is beautifully done and I love the colors. Wash it in hot water and dry it hot. Then wear it with pride!!

Oh what a shame. Its so lovely too. and All that work. Maybe it will shrink when washed. Isn't it funny how we all do that bigger then we are image thing on ourselves. :)

It is lovely. I myself always wear clothes too big for me but that one is pretty big. Maybe you subconsciously made it for a friend who is big?? A marvelous first sweater.

I'm just blown away that you could knit a sweater!! I can't knit and I can only sew buttons on...barely.
I missed that gene!

I hope this sweater becomes a comfy favorite after it goes through it's transition :)

My first official project is a rug-but no one will ever walk on it-it will be repurposed as a wall hanging.

Prettiest colors...if it was in my house, it would probably turn into a cat bed :)

Hey, I liked your new header and page so much...I had Genevieve do my Mewsings page, and she's working on my Curlz page next...
