I'm thinking of a fish-mobile with these type of water color cut out fishes. I cover them with self-leveling gel which gives them a funny plastic feel. I've done two already.
I love the colors of the one side. I think it would be most interesting to see the fish go from color to black and white. It would make one take a double take at the mobile.
The black and white side adds interest of it's own...go with it...(babies will see it best btw)...or so they say... Can't wait to see the mobile put together and swimming in air. Clever idea. The b & W side looks like it is on fabric with stitches around the outside, but of course MY EYES would see that! ;-)
I love your fishies, I really do! I have friends that have used that self-leveling gel on their canvases. I have one on my wall and I love it! Mim, I really think you should try shrink plastics! Some companies call it shrinky-dink (probably not a guy that came up with that!) Anyway, I made my Purrmaids out of it one year and they made wonderful pins with tails that turned. They were awesome! Maybe you'll have to wait until I come for a visit ;)
I love the mobile idea-I've been saving some glass bottles for this grand chandelier/wind chime/vase idea-but it hasn't materialized yet and maybe that's a good thing. I probably won't hang it very high if I do put it together....LOL.
I like the BW/color thing too-it appeals to the whole debit/credit/ yin/yang part of me.
mim, i just read your comment on teri's blog. i wanted to stop by to tell you what a wonderful woman i think you are. i am very very glad to have a connection with you.

The side you colored looks like a beautiful and happy fishy, but why only color one side?
