Apples on a table. Drawn in PEI in a hotel room

Not much more to say about this. Colored pencil in a drawing pad. Left apple could use more white space..now that I know what white space it. Learning techniques from a colored pencil book - which is great fun.

Now you're making me want to do some colored pencil work - all I need is to start a new medium while I'm still master of none of the ones I already use. This does look like fun though - and your drawing looks great.

What I am enjoying about colored pencils is their forgiving nature. You can't erase, but gentle shading is fun. I started using these because I can't usually take much in the way of paints when I travel and boy - am I NOT a master of watercolor. BYW Casey, your watercolors are so wonderful and powerful....

mmmm, i rather like the left one, i'm trying to decide whether to take some watercolours/pencils to australia and try to do some stuff as well. don't think the bride and groom would be impressed if i started drawing during their cremony on the beach, specially as there will only be 8 of us there.

Very nice. I bought a pad and some pencils last week-it's in my cold cold house right now, but I may go dig them out.
