PEI in December

This is a lovely Island but it really is remote! It took all day to get here as we had to go thru Montreal and get a connecting flight. In the summer there is a direct flight from Boston but not in the winter!

We got here and yes, there is snow on the ground and it is COLD! Thank goodness for down jackets. This should be an interesting week.

so snow isn´t that common where you live usually?

We are also having a snowstorm at home and I am missing that. My usual business trips are to San Diego where I usually call home and say " oh a snowstorm? it's 80 degrees here! poor you" . So I believe that the next few months will be karmic payback. This is a beautiful island especially in the summer - I'll let you know how the christmas shopping goes!

I love the idea of a remote island in the winter-solitude and self sufficiency. Like I said, I love the IDEA-when I go put down my travel dollars it's always some place tropical and warm.

I've never been to an island in winter but I'll bet it really is nice and peaceful. Kind of like going to Colorado in the summer.

It is sort of peaceful. The snow is coming down; the pretend gas streetlights are on and the christmas trees are lit all up and down the street. No people tho'
