While it snows

So it snowed and snowed last night and I was warm and snug at home - especially when I watched Tony do the snow removal thing with the snow blower. I stayed inside, organized presents and drew what are supposed to be red onions, but kind of look like strawberries to me. Either way it was fun and a new background technique with the colored pencls. Maybe a little blunter end on that front onion will help...I'll give it a try.

I can see the onion, also see beets. Either way, root vegetables are nice.

Men with snow blowers/leaf blowers crack me up-they are so transparently happy with their big things!

They're coming along though aren't they?

Nice colour choices in the onions - the orangey tone works well to help bring them out of the background.

Excellent drawing - I love the dark background and the texture.

I like the contrast between the colours in the onions and the dark background Mim...

Thanks for your comments all, I love to hear what you think. DK - you are so funny and you're right! I tried to talk him into have a snowplow person do the driveway but NOoooo. Little boys with big toys.

these are realistic (whatever they are ha ha). not easy to draw at all.
i always said that 'men are only good for two things: taking out the garbage and mowing the lawn'. seems you've found a real super hero who can also do the snow thing!

Very nice work Mim! Love the sketchy, raw quality going on here.
