Has anyone heard of "Classmates.com". You sign on and list all the schools that you went to and then someone from your past finds you and you freak out.

Someone from my past has found me and I don't remember her at all. She remembers so much about those crazy days hanging out on the street corners in Brooklyn, and I can't remember which one she was! I think this picture above was 7th grade and I'm going to ask her to tell me which one she is - I truly have no idea.

Mim, which one are you? I'm leaning towards the girl in the yellow with the doggy ears.

No one every tried to find me from classmates.com. Of course, I never tried to find anyone either-the people who signed up were not people I hung out with.

Hey Deb - I'm in the dark blue sweater in the row right in front of the 3 guys. cute eh?

You WERE cute. I knew to look for a blonde, the yellow shirt girl seemed more confident, but I know you as an adult. It's very interesting to see the Mim as a Child...I will try to find my group picture and see if you can pick me out.

When you were looking at the camera, face on, were you thinking "someone see ME?" I used to think that all the time

And, to this day, I have trouble smiling for the camera. I never liked opening my mouth (wore braces) maybe I should take charm lessons now or something.

How funny to be FOUND by someone you have no memory of! I love the classroom photo! Have you "freaked out" yet? Let us know if and when you do.

OMG: I found one of my best friends from high school via Classmates.com. That was about 3 years ago and we still stay in touch. However, he is the only person I've ever connected with via that site. I paid to join once and when my 3 month membership expired, I didn't renew. But it is really strange that someone you can't remember contacted you. Can't wait to hear/see which one she is : )

Since I moved home I've run into people who knew me or rather knew who I was. I was a wild girl, but never bad or mean to anyone, so it's all been pretty positive.

I've actually toyed with the idea of seeking people out, but I'm not sure why, other than nosiness.

I signed hubby up for classmates.com He met a few people via emails but everyone dropped the ball after one contact. Like, "Oh yeah, you didn't grow up to be that interesting and neither did I!"

I've been on classmates.com for quite a while and have watched as people have joined and not even bothered to post their profile or answer any questions. I have never signed up for their membership though. One of my good friends from high school had put her blog address in the profile and we've stayed connected that way but I haven't seen anyone in person other than the few I ran into at the gym. Not that I'm in a hurry to either. But bah, this is my big reunion year. Guess I should at least pull the yearbook out and try to remember some names.
