Mom and I went to a knitting store the other day in Sarasota - a great place in an antique shop. The woman who owned the place had great yarns and patterns, all kinds of fun things - like a knitted stuffed pig. She had two skeins of purple silk fabric cut up into long strips for knitting - so I bought them and made a scarf. Garter stitch to keep it from being too long and stringy - which I don't like in a scarf.
It doesn't photograph very well, but is really pretty, with bits and pieces of lavender silk poking out. 1 day of work, and done. Ready to wear in this cold March weather. Lovely and warm. Satisfying.

Wonderful scarf. Looks quite elegant. Remember to breathe.
Beautiful scarf! Hope you have a good day today....
ooooh, I love it! A friend made me one like that in turquioses and blues. I love how they look.
I'm getting a sense you love pastel colors. This is quite pretty.
That's a very arty scarf Mim...my style with all the loose ends...I love it. Let's see a photo of you wearing it! When I enlarged the photo it showed very well! Pretty.
Love it! I'd leave it on the wall-it looks good there.
I would wear it proudly! It's beautiful. If your looking for a home for it ~ I'm on it! Take care and thanks for sharing
very therapeutic to knit, lovely colours, goes well with the green lizards/gekkos. hope you doing okay.

Absolutely beautiful!!!
You'll have to tell me the name of the shop so I can check it out.
Beautiful colors and so unique! When you are not wearing it, that is a great place to hang it.
Wow the colors and texture are great.
I would have never thought of a silk scarf like that, it's so wild like windblown hair and the color is like velvet pansies...I am ready for spring and would even wear that scarf as a sash, maybe?
Hi there. It is so nice to see you again... here with your friends on your beautiful site. Your "life journal" is wonderul!
Take care!

I love the scarf! And the gekkohooks!
it's a great scarf and very warm for these cold days. Very easy to do also, and if you have scraps of fabric or lenghts, it is cheap also. I am thinking of attempting a jacket or long vest with some silk fabric that I have but need to work on the pattern.
Oh thats pretty. It should keep you warm and look smashing too. :)
I still have one half done I started in December. Shame on me. I could be wearing too.
