Waking up in the middle of the night

Sometimes whenI wake up in the middle of the night all of my personal information has fled and for a few seconds I am absolutly floating in the unknown. It's not a panicky feeling at all; I have no anxiety about not knowing who I am, where I am and why I am there. There is no worry about getting up for work, worrying about what time it is or what day it is. Of course it all comes crashing back within a few moments, but for those few seconds - I feel totally free.

That is amazing really. There is an age old Judaic mystical reason for that feeling but I wont go into it here - it is just increadible that you are aware of it.
Wow.

I love that feeling and try to get it back sometimes if the reality crash is just too much...then I slowllllllly re enter the world.

What a wonderful feeling. I'm not sure I've ever been there before but now I'm sure going to try to make it happen : )

I love this free feeling when I wake up in the morning. But usually the kids wake me up, so I don´t have these few peacful moments.

actually i came here yesterday to tell you something else, but then i forgot! :)

you commented somewhere (couldn´t find it again) that you could tell me special events if you would think of one for my 10 years ago - blog. sure, go ahead (as long as the motif isn´t too difficult! ;) ). in case there are special dates where you would like somethings special, just let me know soon enough. the only thing is that the event should have happened at least 10 years ago.

that feeling actually scares me, i like to be fully in control of all my facilties all the time, bit it's like coming awake after anaesthesia, not nice.

no, it's not an anesthesia feel, it's more like waking from a lovely dream. I cant explain more, but its a very special feeling.

I know that feeling...consciousness with no self attached...just for a fleeting moment...probably only a nanosecond. So rare!

Nancy - you got it right. Consiousness with no self attached. Perfect description. and a feeling of total harmony, joy and freedom. I wonder what it really is?
